FORD Introduces a New Generation F-150

The company makes a lot of efforts to maintain leadership in the pickup class, so it did not delay the release of the new generation and introduced it only five years after the previous.

The new generation of the F-150 was created through a deep comprehensive modernization of the previous model of car. The steel supporting frame with box section side members remained the same, the cab frame also did not change (it is visible by the configuration of doorways and the windshield with a “step”), but all the exterior panels are new, they form a more modern appearance of the car. Attention is paid to customization: 11 front grilles will be available.

In the new generation, the F-150 received a hybrid modification. It is equipped with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost turbo engine built into the 10-speed automatic transmission with an electric power of 48 hp. and a 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. This combination is called PowerBoost. The overall return of the tandem and other parameters are not clea for now. A pickup in this version is capable of pulling a trailer weighing up to 5.4 tons. The cruising range on one tank is 1125 km.

    I like that the new Ford F-150 has become noticeably brutal, more serious, more massive and more aggressive than before.
